# The Society for RNA Therapeutics (SRT)

> A global professional network supporting translational research and development of RNA
> therapeutics. SRT develops standards for RNA manufacturing and guidelines for clinical
> trials, facilitates public-private-regulatory partnerships, provides public and
> professional education, supports early career development, and advocates for accessible
> RNA therapeutics for all patients.

The Society for RNA Therapeutics is a nonprofit professional society. Its Board of Directors
includes 2023 Nobel Laureate in Medicine Drew Weissman (University of Pennsylvania), lipid
nanoparticle pioneer Pieter Cullis (University of British Columbia), Adrian Krainer (Cold
Spring Harbor Laboratory), Anna Marie Pyle (Yale University), Dan Peer (Tel Aviv University),
Jeff Coller (Johns Hopkins University), and other leading figures in RNA science. The Society
is led by President John P. Cooke, M.D., Ph.D. (Houston Methodist Academic Institute).

Membership is open to researchers, clinicians, industry professionals, and trainees, in two
categories: Professional and Trainee (a reduced rate for graduate students, postdoctoral
fellows, and clinical fellows). Current rates are listed on the membership page.
